Show me a really well liked British sportsman, popular with all Brits, and I'll show you a loser.

Funnily enough, I dom't watch F! to be entertained by the personalities and how well they come across on TV. I watch it for the excitement of the racing and Lewis is up there as one of the all time best.

Mind you, I'm also keeping an eye on Verstappen too. The bloke definitely seems to have a screw or two loose and is always great to watch.

I like him, he's the best at what he does and knows how to enjoy life, good luck to him!

Re: Lewis Hamilton
I don't mind him. He has a winning mentality which is what F1 demands. His driving is also more exciting to watch than most of the others. He sounds unconvincing when spewing out all the platitudes demanded by sponsors and PR advisers, but that's not his fault.

Re: Lewis Hamilton
Could be the last great driver this country produces, and one of the best of all time. He's going to be top 2-3 in all categories of his sport when he hangs up the gloves.

Shame that not everyone appreciates his extraordinary talent, but that's the way it goes. I don;t know if there are any successful British sportsmen or women who are universally liked. We seem to love to dig out our own and pick holes in the successful. Wouldn't see many other countries doing that.
